Robert E. Oldham

In 1994, Robert (Rob) Oldham graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science. He then earned his JD from the College of William & Mary, School of Law in Williamsburg, Virginia.

For two decades, Rob used his law degree to fight for the poor and powerless as a public defender, most recently as the Natrona County District Supervisor. Other than prosecutors, no one attends court or serves more clients than public defenders, and Rob is no exception.

Rob’s career is summarized in a Casper Star Tribune article ( available online aptly titled, "A longtime Casper public defender retired. But he's not done opposing the prosecution.” The article appeared on the front page of the Sunday February 18, 2019 Star Tribune and provides some insight on how Rob practices law.

Rob has represented clients and gone to trial for all types of misdemeanor and felony charges, such as homicide (including death penalty cases), violent crimes, sex assaults, DUI, and drug crimes. He also assists clients with expungements, restoration of rights, probation revocation and sentence reductions. Clients give Rob high marks for his empathetic nature and knowledge of the law.

Rob has practiced and represented clients in every Wyoming county, and in all nine of the Wyoming Judicial Districts. Upon his retirement from the public defender’s office, Rob joined The Fuller & Semerad Law Firm in 2019, where he still enjoys defending “the little guy” against “the power of the State.”
